Cadet Proficiency Badge Scheme (CPBS) Registration

If you have any certificates to send in to register for badges, please send them in to John Poh I/C (3 Henry). Please send in only valid certificates for the badges you want to attain. 

You may visit http://sites.google.com/site/sjabcpbs/homepage to find out more about CPBS. To obtain the CPBS manual to clarify what badges you may attain, you may download it from the website.

Instructions
1. Photocopy the certificate that you want to use for the registration for a particular badge (e.g. swimming badge - silver swimming certificate required)

2. At the back of the photocopied certificate, label: Group no., name of badge to attain, your name, corps (Maris Stella High St. John Ambulance Brigade) and your squad. Please label in CAPS.

3. Compile all the certificates and hand them to John Poh I/C in a LABELED envelope.

St. John Day Preparation

Dear corps, please take some time to read this post as it concerns the upcoming St. John day on 29 June, 2011, Wednesday. Do take note of certain points that will be highlighted in red.

Tuesday, 28 June 2011 (St. John Day rehearsal) 
Secondary 1:
Cadets are to fall in at the open plaza by 1415 hrs sharp. Prepare at least S$1.60 for the St. John collar pin and consume your lunch before fall in.

Secondary 2:
Cadets are to fall in at the open plaza by 1515 hrs sharp. Bring your Full U to school on Tuesday, which will be checked by the NCOs. All accessories (e.g. name tags, shoulder flash, ranks), have to be sewed/ pinned on, ready for inspection.

Attire: School uniform 



Wednesday, 29 June 2011 (St. John Day Parade)
All squads are to fall in at the basketball court, in the correct attire, by 0700 hrs sharp. Consume your breakfast before fall in.

Attire:
Secondary 1 & 2: Physical Training kit (Corps T-shirt + PE shorts + black socks)
Secondary 3: Full Uniform + Physical Training kit

Note: To all secondary 2 cadets, Full Uniform is not to be worn in public. Hence, come to school in PT kit, after which change into Full Uniform in school and fall in by 0700 hrs.

St. John Pledge

We, as members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, do hereby pledge:


1. To be loyal I to Singapore I and the President of the Republic.

2. To upkeep the honour I and dignity I of the Brigade I and my Country.

3. To observe the Mottoes of the Order I which are: I "Pro Fide" ‑ I For the Faith. "Pro Utilitate Hominum" I ‑ For the service of Mankind.

4. To be loyal to the Chief Commissioner I and my Officers.

5. To read the Brigade Regulations I and to comply with them I in all respects.

6. To carry out all orders received from time to time I from seniors.

7. To carry out my duties with zeal and efficiency I to the best of my ability.

8. To be courteous and honest I in all my words and actions.

Do note that ALL are required to memorise the St. John pledge as we are required to recite it on St. John Day.
